Sara was born in Rome, Italy, in 1986, daughter of jewellery sculpturing father and a mother who was a painter.
My parents were collectors of antiques and design artefacts and my own house was the place where I first discovered art and where I developed an interest in creativity in all its forms.
With a background of studies in art, fashion, costume and design, throughout the years I have worked at trying different artistic disciplines, always combined with my artisanal skills.
My works encompass paintings, drawings, mixed media artworks, fashion illustrations, wearable art and pieces of interior design, all characterised by a figurative, highly detailed style.
Since I moved to London in 2011, I started exploring the use of everyday objects to create pieces of art that are also functional.
I am a devotee of the old fashion methods of creating by using hand tools.
I found that there is just something special about the feeling of seeing your artwork becoming tangible, real, while making it happen with your own hands.
Since 2016 I collaborate with Melissa Bruscoli in a project called Icastica Studio, creating unique pieces of art for fashion and home decor.
