Lina Lyubomirova
Lina is a bachelor and Master of Graphic Arts and a winner of an art scholarship at the National Academy of Arts, Bulgaria.
Aged 9, she won the first place on two art competitions - one organised by the Union of Bulgarian Artists, and later the international prize organised by the Peace Corps, where her artwork was printed on UNICEF postcards.
She always loved fairy tales, even when the world she lived in was far from that. She always believed that she would become an artist.
Coming from a poor background, almost always travelling, and living with different members of her family, Lina had an incredible art journey full of adventures and a series of accidents that someone call destiny.
She never plans her artwork. When she sees the paper, the drawings seem to be already there. They tell the story in the form of fairy tales’ books for children and adults that she is still writing.
All her artworks have something in common such as narwhal boats; strings holding the world from falling apart and figures that often throw a soft glow on the surrounding.
She like to draw things that cannot be seen as the noise of a forest or on music.
