'My paintings are an opportunity for me to conjure landscapes and atmosphere’s that transmit the ideas of ravenous nature, chaos and absurdity, impenetrable layers teeming with unseen life and usually with a darker edge.
Using my own visual language of suggestive shapes, layers and totemic symbols, I seek to convey an interior world and to give form to a powerful existential desire for both freedom and connection.
Lately, my fundamental themes have diversified into more personal issues of conflicting desires, pressures of time and ageing and the constraints put on the individual by society:
a plea for the release of one’s potency in a world that increasingly restricts and confines.’
