Alessandro Filizzola
I am a MA Fashion Photography student in the London School of Fashion / University of the Arts of London.
As a photographer in Brazil, I also worked with the Red Cross in the Amazon Rainforest and, as a cofounder in the “Know to Preserve” project, we registered the cultural and historical heritage in traditional communities which was a pillar for their sustainable development (my MBA theses was based on this project).
This last one was the turning point in my career when decided to get deeper into photography and focus my work on the art of portraiture.
In the UK, summing at my previous experience, I have had the opportunity to teach photography and act as a documentary photographer on behalf of different social organisations working with refugees and youth groups from deprived backgrounds among others.
In 2017 I was honoured with the Press Award UK prize as the outstanding Brazilian photographer in London of the year.
I am still running fully booked photography workshops on behalf of the Migrants Resource Centre on a monthly basis.
As a specialist, I write articles about photography that I publish on my website and also in magazines.
